The first proper vacation I took in Europe was to Greece. We decided to stay in an all-inclusive resort, a concept I wasn't familiar with previously. As the name suggests, everything is included in the price of the accommodation - breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, unlimited drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic), entertainment & sports activities. It is the best choice of vacation for people who just want to relax and enjoy themselves.
We stayed at the TUI Magic Life Candia Maris, which is a popular resort chain in Europe. Even though the resort is not that huge, it is the perfect size for couples which makes sense because this is an adults only resort. From big pools & spa to a gym & tennis court, this resort had all the facilities one could possibly need on vacation! Another huge advantage of this resort is its beachfront location which encouraged many activities including beach volleyball and evening parties. Lastly, I would like to complement the amazing views this resort offers. Combined with the lovely weather we had in August, it really made our vacation one of the best yet.
FOOD & DRINKS
There is so much food offered in this facility and it is all so good!
Their main restaurant offers a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner with various cuisines everyday including special theme evenings on certain days. Apart from that, they have two luxury a la carte restaurants at the resort which can be tried out once per week included in the package. For mid-day or mid-night cravings, they have snack bars available 24/7 from where you can get pizza, sandwiches, desert etc. And the best part of being on an all inclusive holiday is definitely the unlimited drinks! I could not imagine vacation without cocktails by the pool, without wine with dinner and without more cocktails after dinner with card games.
ENTERTAINMENT & ACTIVITIES
Musical shows were played in the outside-theater most days. Afterwards, you could enjoy some music while relaxing at the bar. Additionally, the facility also had a small disco where parties were hosted on certain days. There was a wide variety of courses offered everyday like Zumba, aqua cycling, water ball, archery etc. for which we could sign-up through an app. Our daily routine also consisted of going to the gym every evening before dinner which was a perfect balance between food and exercise.
Overall you pay a fair price for a lavish holiday with all the good quality food, delicious drinks, gorgeous views and fun activities! All in all, a perfect location and resort for young adults to simply enjoy Greek food and bask in the sun. This was one of the best vacations ever and I would definitely love to go back!
